Blackie Dammett (Father of Anthony Kiedis) has posted some new updates about the NEW Red Hot Chili Peppers Album after taking a trip to LA to stay with Anthony Kiedis recently!To summarise, Blackie said that the Album is finished according to Anthony Kiedis and RHCP Album producer Rick Rubin. He also said a title for the new Red Hot Chili Peppers Album hasn't been decided yet.See the list of updates in Blackie's own words below...

Showbiz411.com editor-in-chief, Roger Friedman bumped into Anthony over the weekend. Anthony Kiedis told him that RHCP are currently recording and hope to have the new Red Hot Chili Peppers album out by late summer!

Chad Smith recently spoke again to MusicRadar about the progress of the NEW Red Hot Chili Peppers Album! He says that progress is going well and that they hope to release the new RHCP album by March/Summer 2011. Chad also talks about working with new Red Hot Chili Peppers guitarist Josh Klinghoffer!
Relevant RHCP related excerpts from the interview:
How are things with the Peppers?
"Things are good. Very good. We've cut a bunch of songs, so we're probably halfway through the record. I think we've tracked about 20 songs already, and there's a few more left to do. Then we'll whittle them down to make the best record. We always cut a lot of songs and see which ones rise and which ones fall - that's just how we like to work. But the new one won't be a double album like Stadium Arcadium, I can tell you that."
Do things feel any different with Josh Klinghoffer? How's he working out?
"Things are a bit different. You know, he's a different guy. But he's doing great. He's got a terrific sound, he's very musical, he's full of idea - we're enjoying working with him. Things are coming along pretty easily, so that's always a good sign. I've been playing with him for over a year now, so it's feeling very natural.
"What I'm really liking about Josh is how multi-talented he is. He plays guitar, bass, piano, drums, he sings…We've been very fortunate to have him come into our fold and help inspire us to try some new things."
Is his guitar sound radically different from John Frusciante's?
"I wouldn't say it's radically different. Josh is just Josh. He has his own thing, and that's why we love him. The sounds he comes up with are very pleasing to my ears, and I'm pretty sure they will be to everybody else once they hear him on this record."
If the Chili Peppers have dates booked for next summer, I would assume that you'd want the album out by then.
"That would be nice. We probably have three to four more weeks left for cutting basic tracks. Then we'll start doing overdubs - guitars, vocals, all the other things that go on a record. After that, there might be a couple of things to do in January. Or we could start mixing - and as you know, that can take some time. I'm just projecting and guessing, but I would say we'd like to try to deliver the album in March. We're definitely hoping to have it out by next summer. It's been a long time in coming."

Red Hot Chili Peppers drummer Chad Smith has been voted the 10th best drummer of the past 25 years in a recent online poll by Rhythm Magazine! (The UK's Best Selling Drum Magazine) The results were announced on Rhythm Magazine's website on August 10th 2010.

As previously mentioned on Stadium-Arcadium.com, Red Hot Chili Peppers Drummer and all round cool guy Chad Smith has teamed up with Mary Poppins star Dick Van Dyke to record a children's album called The Rhythm Train!
TheRhythmTrain.com has released pictures of Chad Smith making music videos and recording with Dick Van Dyke for the Album.
A portion of all proceeds generated from the sale of The Rhythm Train Music CD will go directly to Children's Hospitals across America in an effort to support uncompensated care. In addition to Children's Hospitals, The Rhythm Train has partnered with Partners in Health, a non-profit medical relief organization which has been on the ground in Haiti for 20 years. Nick Arnold With this new Chili Peppers record, are you guys taking a new direction, or will you be sticking with your more recent sound?
Chad Smith It is a new direction because we've got a new guitar player, Josh Klinghoffer, and he's an amazing musician, so it's obviously gonna change. But it's also gonna change because we've got a new guy in the group, and he's very talented, very musical. It's fresh, it's fun, everyone is in a good mood, everyone is coming up with lots of good ideas, and I just look forward to what the future is gonna bring. I know it's gonna be different and exciting. It just makes me really happy to get up everyday and go to rehearsals, because I know something new and cool is gonna happen, and so I'm looking for it; it's awesome.
