Red Hot Chili Peppers Bassist Flea is raising funds for his music school, "The Silverlake Conservatory Of Music". He's started a fundraiser on Crowdrise (owned by actor and close friend, Ed Norton) and is giving away a signed Fleabass guitar to a donator chosen at random! Donate now for a chance to win & to support this great cause!

Red Hot Chili Peppers Bassist Flea Michael Balzary was recently voted as BBC 2's BEST Bass Guitarist!
As previously posted HERE, Flea was listed on BBC2's 'I'm in a Rock Band' competition to try and find the perfect DNA for a rock band. Fans were given the chance to vote for their favourite bassists online and Flea was voted at number 1!
The news was revealed Live on the show 'I'm in a Rock Band Live' which aired on BBC 2 - June 5th in the UK at 10pm.

Flea tells CNN of his thoughts from the time he witnessed the poor state of Fairfax High (the school in which he graduated from), and how it inspired him to start up the Silverlake Conservatory Of Music...
"I went there, and it was just barren. No funding, no instruments, nothin'. It made me feel empty inside. That's when I thought, 'I need to start a music school -- a nonprofit music school. Anyone who wants to go can go.' I was lucky enough to have the dough, and this place is flourishing."
