I believe, this is the second part of the Dani California story in the minds of the band?

I actually think this might be AK's view rather than the rest of them, I'm not sure how much they put into that.

To me it is important in several ways. It is actually one of my favourite of their videos (glad they did the making of dvd, that was a nice little side). And that kind of makes me feel like it is just a kind of upbeat look at how life goes.

Secondly it is kind of about talking about someone you liked, and were maybe after but it didn't work, and now the opportunity is missed? The music is just awesomely energetic though.

Finally very important to me, because it was one of the first songs that got me into the band along with Aeroplane, and one of the first times I began to warm to the notion of them being a pop rock band.

^^ Agreed this is one of my favourite of their videos! It's just ace. And it's such a great song how it builds up then goes really energetic and then like slows down and goes all mellow and then back again, etc etc.I love it how it does that! But I'm still not that sure what the meaning of the song is though. 'Dani the girl is singing songs to me beneath the marquee of her soul' ?
Does anybody have any ideas what these lyrics mean?

Hm the solo of btw on live in Hyde Park is one of my favorites ones and I'm always dissapointed when I listen to a performence of btw and John doesn't play a solo.^^
Besides it's a energetic song that just....hm makes you feel good^^
