Josh Klinghoffer has a passion for music and has been involved in all aspects of music from a very early age as a talented multi-instrumentalist, after having dropped out of formal education at age 15. Josh Klinghoffer is perhaps best known for his work with his friend John Frusciante. He has regularly contributed to John Frusciante's solo albums and has a joint album with John Frusciante called A Sphere In The Heart Of Silence. Josh Klinghoffer and John Frusciante have also collaborated with Joe Lally from Fugazi to form the band Ataxia. Ataxia has recorded two albums to date: Automatic Writing and AW II |
Josh Klinghoffer also toured with Red Hot Chili Peppers for the Stadium Arcadium album tour as a second guitarist. Most recently, Josh Klinghoffer collaborated with John Frusciante again in the production of John Frusciante's highly anticipated 10th solo album - The Empyrean.
Josh Klinghoffer's most recent project is the band he founded, Dot Hacker, of which he is the songwriter, lead singer, and lead guitarist.
